The success story of MWS group began with the takeover of the renowned foundry Bühlguss at the locations in Kufstein and Klagenfurt, Austria, in 2004. In the course of a vertical diversification strategy, a competence centre for machining was installed in Ternberg in 2005, and a permanent mould casting plant followed in Hlinik nad Hronom in Slovakia in 2007. In 2024, another milestone was reached with the takeover of the low-pressure casting plant in Herzogenburg.
MWS is currently leader in aluminium sand casting. 400 employees generate annual revenues of approx. € 80 million at four sites in two European countries. The objective for the future is solid growth based on a strategic expansion of the product segments. In addition to the core segment automotive, components for machine construction and other industry segments will be manufactured.
